Evolution and Mission Shift: After 7 years of impactful work, a pivotal moment in 2009 prompted the organization to reevaluate its mission. During a vocational training program, members identified a pressing issue: a significant number of women were victims of domestic violence. Recognizing the profound impact on their lives and children, the organization resolved to address this critical need by establishing Nirbhaya Women Shelter Home.

Revised Mission: Today, the mission of NIRBHAYA FOUNDATION is to provide succor to women and children in distress. The NIRBHAYA FOUNDATION is dedicated to offering support and assistance to women and children facing adversity. Our mission revolves around uplifting their self-esteem through a comprehensive four-pronged approach that includes ‘Health, Education, Equality, and Empowerment.’ In addition to these pillars, we are committed to promoting animal welfare, fostering art and culture, providing vocational training, and raising awareness about women’s and children’s rights.

Our organization strives to be a catalyst for positive transformation, working towards enabling the most underprivileged members of society to exercise their rights as outlined in the Constitution of India. By addressing diverse aspects of well-being and social development, we aim to create a more inclusive and equitable society for all.
